Tangier Med: An ambitious construction program in Morocco

Tangier Med is a new passenger and cargo port located on the Straits of Gibraltar about 40 km east of Tangier in Morocco and 15 km from Spain at the shortest distance between Africa and Europe. The ambitious construction program was officially inaugurated in July 2007 by King Mohammed VI and the government body Tangier Mediterranean Special Agency (TMSA) is overseeing the whole project.

Morocco - Diversified economy keeps the growth up

Morocco's GDP growth has risen by a third over 1998-2008, moving from 3.3% over 1990-1998 to 4.3% between 1998 and 2008, High Planning Commission has said. HCP said in its latest report on growth and human development that services and building and public works have enhanced Morocco's economic growth over the reporting period, with growth less and less dependent on agriculture.

Horizon to open oil terminal in Morocco

Maroc Telecom achieves modest growth, good sub-Saharan performance

Moroccan incumbent Maroc Telecom has reported its consolidated group results for the first half of 2009. Morocco and Tunisia will be increasing their DDGS imports, according to Dr. David Hutcheson, U.S. Grains Council consultant and ruminant nutritionist.
